It’s a girl!!

Posted by dozer on October 14, 2008

I’d like to introduce you all to the newest member of the Holler family, my daughter Keela.  Keela is a Giberian Shepsky (GS/Husky mix) and currently about 3 months old.  She’s extremely smart and learning very quickly.  She learned her name almost instantly!  She’s a little bit aggressive which can be a good thing and she loves her daddy so even still with quite a bit of work she’s gonna make an awesome addition to the family.

Flight IRL

Posted by dozer on October 14, 2008

After not even 10 dedicated hours of flight experience in the virtual world (e.g. Flight Simulator), I am put to the test of flying a Cesna to and from Utila/La Ceiba.  It’s a lot like playing the game except a little bit easier and waaaayyy scarier!!  Throughout the duration of both flights the pilot touched nothing except the little switches and knobs, as for the wheel and pedals, I did all the work.  My total real life flight time is now 45 minutes.

Utila Carnaval 2008

Posted by dozer on October 13, 2008

Here’s a few shots from the weekend of the 2008 Carnaval in Utila.  It was a long three days of no sleep and lots of fun and celebrating.  Utila and La Ceiba are basically the only two towns the really celebrate the Carnaval in Honduras anymore.

Friday Night Crew, Thursday Morning

Posted by dozer on June 26, 2008

Thanks to the crew of G-town peeps still around to have a final night of fun before I take off to Honduras once again to start something new and get a different glimpse of the world around. We went to Friday’s for a nice meal and a few drinks and then spent an hour or so loitering around the entrance and parking lot trying to find something to do before taking some pics and calling it a night. Hope to see you all down here at one point or another.

Back to Honduras

Posted by dozer on May 4, 2008

For those who happen to be out of the loop and haven’t heard, I’m returning to Honduras this summer and moving down there permanently, or at least out of the U.S.
I may try to manage to come back and visit once in a while but the chances will be rare and most likely very brief. To all my true friends and Honduras fans out there, good luck, finish school, and come have a Salva Vida with me sometime if you get the chance ;)

I’m leaving June 26, so if you’ll be in town or close, gimme a call or e-mail me. I’ll post an update if some kinda shin-dig is going down but as of now there is nothing major planned. Take care and keep watch for more Honduras updates.

Happy Valentines Day

Posted by dozer on March 5, 2007

We decked the hell out of this place on Valentines Day, and it was PACKED all night long. Starting about 10 a.m. until right before we opened at 3:30 it was non-stop setting up, cleaning, and decorating, but it turned out really nice.

Expats – After Hours

So this place can get pretty crazy after hours when the only people left are hardcore clientel and all the employees have gone home. Good times.

In from San Pedro

Posted by dozer on March 5, 2007

I stayed a couple hours at the Hilton Princess Hotel in San Pedro for a brief stay with my dad until the driver took me back to La Ceiba where I would stay the next couple of weeks running Expatriates Bar & Grill.

For those of you who don’t already know, I’m leaving for Honduras on Tuesday, February 6th. I decided to bring my site back to life because myspace is pretty much retarded, plus I can pretty much put up anything I want on here, and so can you! hah..
anyways, if you wanna see what’s going on in Joey’s world while I’m gone, this is the place to be.
